Cultural context

Brussels became the EU's main hub gradually after 1958 when it hosted the European Economic Community. The Parliament's Espace Léopold complex, opened in 1993, sits beside the historic Léopold train station. The Parlamentarium and House of European History are free entry points to understand 70 years of European cooperation.
